She recently gave up her vibrant corporate career to help expedite the setting up of HIAL, Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh. Gitanjali is a multi-talented dynamic woman. She is a management graduate from XIMB, Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar and has since been in key corporate positions nationally and internationally in Indian and multinational companies.
My Story
As an entrepreneur she has helped launch her own businesses, Pushan and Shanghai Power Projects Ltd.
As a social entrepreneur she is the founder of a publishing company Helios Books, Aum Hospitals, AUM Trust and Love your Liver Foundation.
As an educator she is the founding member of Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh, Advisor to Maharashtra International Education Board, MIEB, Government of Maharashtra, and has headed a well known Cambridge School in Chennai.
Apart from that, she is a Black Belt in Karate and has won the World championship in 2009 in USA, together with her son Aryan.
She loves dancing Odissi and Russian Ballet, singing Hindustani Classical and playing the Piano.
She is spiritual seeker with a deep interest in Indian Spirituality and is a life-long student of Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy, Vedas and the Upanishads. She enjoys insights into the inner and outer worlds and practices yoga, pranayama and meditation.
